When looking at all of the signing classes in the history of Alabama Basketball, there are arguably none that stick-out more than the Class of 2022.

Rated as the No. 3 recruiting class in the country according to the 247Sports Team Rankings, the Crimson Tide added a total of five signees that were headlined by two five-stars, the first time in Alabama Basketball history that it has happened in the same class.

The Crimson Tide’s 2022 class isn’t just those two however, as all five of these signees are rated among the top players at their position, and each will provide a massive impact for Alabama next season.

Taking a look at Alabama Basketball’s 2022 signing class

This will take a complete look at Alabama’s 2022 class, beginning with the highest-rated player of the group in five-star small forward Brandon Miller.

The third-highest rated recruit in Crimson Tide history, Miller is rated as not-only the No. 10 overall player in the country, but also the No. 3 overall small forward, as well as the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee.

A versatile forward at 6’8, Miller attends Cane Ridge High School (TN) where he averaged 23.3 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 4.3 APG, and 2.6 BPG a year ago earning MaxPreps Junior All-American honors. A MaxPreps Preseason Second-Team All-American entering this season, Miller is a player who does almost everything well from long-range shooting, versatile defense, and finishing around the rim, and will be one of the most-exciting overall players in college basketball next season

Joining Miller as the other five-star in the Crimson Tide’s 2022 class is point guard Jaden Bradley, the sixth highest-rated recruit in Alabama Basketball history.

A 2020-21 MaxPreps Junior Second-Team All-American, Bradley averaged 10.1 PPG, 4 RPG, and 6.1 APG a year ago at IMG Academy (FL), and will play a similar role this season for what is a nationally ranked Ascenders team.

The No. 17 overall player nationally, Bradley is also rated as the No. 3 point guard in the country, as well as the No. 6 overall player in the talent-rich state of Florida. Also a MaxPreps Preseason Second-Team All-American entering this season, Bradley is a complete point guard at 6’3 who does everything well including scoring, passing, rebounding, and defense, and will be impactful for the 2022 Crimson Tide in every facet imaginable.

While the two five-stars will obviously get most of the shine, and rightfully so, the Crimson Tide’s 2022 class also features three other signees, each of whom will provide a significant impact in both 2022 and beyond.

The highest-rated of this group is four-star power forward Noah Clowney who is currently rated as the No. 61 overall player in the country, as well as the No. 9 overall power forward and the No. 1 player in the state of South Carolina. The 6’9 Dorman (SC) standout, Clowney is one of the fastest risers in the 2022 class, and can impact a game in many ways including scoring from all three levels, rebounding, and a versatile interior defensive presence.

Not far behind Clowney in the rankings is four-star shooting guard Rylan Griffen, the No. 62 overall player in the country, as well as the No. 5 overall shooting guard and the No. 6 player in the state of Texas. A standout at Richardson (TX), Griffen is an extremely-talented two-way player at 6’5 who has the potential to be special on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court as not only a talented scorer who can get to the rim, but also a versatile perimeter defender.

In addition to these four talented incoming freshmen, Alabama also landed the No. 2 overall JUCO prospect in the country in three-star power forward Nick Pringle. After spending his freshman season a year ago at Wofford, Pringle transferred to Dodge City C.C. (KS) for the 2021-22 campaign where the 6’9 forward has become one of the more sought-after JUCO prospects, and should excel as an interior presence for the Crimson Tide.
