Bryce Young

Yesterday, we were witnesses to the Bryce Young show.

Whether he shook hapless defenders with his velvety smooth-running style or throwing darts to Jameson Williams or John Metchie III, the Heisman contender did it all. His final stat line (559 yards and 5 touchdowns) vaulted him into the lead for the nation’s most outstanding player. Young’s Heisman moment came in the second quarter when the sinewy quarterback delivered a precision 79-yard strike to a fleeting Williams.

Bryce set the Alabama single game record with his 559 yards. The offense finished with 671 yards of total offense which ranks fifth in program history.

Brian Robinson Jr.

In Derrick Henry’s Heisman winning campaign, he toted the pigskin 395 times for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns. The anchor of the offense, Alabama football rode Henry’s coattails to a national title.

As the running back depth wanes, Robinson is expected to carry the ball like Henry down the stretch. The fifth-year senior celebrating his last home game, ran 27 times for 122 tough yards.
