After a 1-1 start to the 2021 ESPN Events Invitational Tournament, Alabama takes on Miami to conclude their time in Orlando.
Alabama is coming off an 80-71 win over Drake on Friday, a game in which the Crimson Tide shot an impressive 54.4% from the field as a team. The Crimson Tide were led by guard Jahvon Quinerly who had a game-high 18 points, as well as two others in double-figures as Jaden Shackelford and Juwan Gary added 14 points a piece.
The Crimson Tide come into this contest ranked as the No. 10 team in the country, and sport a 5-1 record on the season. Averaging an impressive 84 PPG, Alabama are led by the previously mentioned duo of Shackelford and Quinerly in scoring, as well as guard Keon Ellis ranking third in scoring at 11.8 PPG and leading the Crimson Tide with 7.8 RPG.
Miami are coming off a 69-63 win over North Texas on Friday after dropping their first round matchup to Dayton. The Hurricanes also shot an impressive 54.2% in the contest, and were led by star guard Isaiah Wong who added a game-high 21 points.
The Hurricanes sit at 4-2 on the season, and come into this contest averaging 74.8 PPG for the year. In addition to Wong previously, Miami is led by leading scorer and rebounder Kameron McGusty (17 PPG and 6.7 RPG), while others such as Charlie Moore, Anthony Walker, Sam Waardenburg, and Jordan Miller all play key roles.

Alabama’s schedule gets very-tough after this contest, and it will be key to pick up a win going into that stretch of games. The Crimson Tide have played two close games so far in Orlando, and while this game has a chance to close also against a quality opponent, Alabama should leave the ESPN Events Invitational with a win.
