Alabama Football vs. Georgia Bold Prediction No. 3

The Georgia Bulldogs will outrush the Crimson Tide in total rushing yards. One reason is they will have more carries, with an offensive approach that does not put the game’s result in the hands of quarterback, Stetson Bennett.

SEC Championship Bold Prediction No. 4

In the regular season, the Bulldogs have rushed for an average of 5.39 yards-per-carry. That will not happen against the Crimson Tide defense. Without having to load the box and leaving itself vulnerable in pass defense, the Alabama defense will hold the Bulldogs to a per-carry average of less than 3.25 yards.

Bold Prediction No. 5

The Georgia defense is almost as good as the Crimson Tide defense in run defense. The Bulldogs’ average for opponents is 2.48 yards-per-carry. Even with a short, and not fully healthy running back roster, the Crimson Tide will surpass the Bulldogs’ average and produce at least 3.48 yards-per-carry.

Bold Prediction No. 6

The 2021 SEC Championship game will be decided by one or more field goals. There will be at least three in the game and unless the attempts are outside 45 yards, neither kicker is likely to miss. Georgia kicker, Jack Podlesny has a big a leg, as does Will Reichard. Overall, the Georgia kicker’s attempts have been somewhat shorter in his career, and he has been slightly less accurate in his career at 81.1 percent compared to Reichard’s 82.1 percent. Much will hinge on the Tide’s inexperienced holder, punter, James Burnip.
