No. 3 Alabama football thumped the No.1 Georgia Bulldogs 41-24 for the 2021 SEC Championship. All week, the underdog Crimson Tide heard how they were not worthy of stepping on the field with the undefeated Bulldogs. The first quarter played out as the experts expected, with Georgia leading 3-0.

Once Georgia scored again to make it 10-0 to start the second quarter, the Bryce Young show began. Unwavering against a stoic Bulldog defense, Young hit Jameson Williams for a 67-yard score, and the floodgates began to open. After that big play against the number one defense in the country, a confident Young surgically dismantled their secondary with his Williams and Metchie the beneficiaries.

The Crimson Tide never relented, and although Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett IV did his best to keep the team in the game, his two interceptions doomed the Bulldogs.

Alabama football head coach Nick Saban spoke on the media’s positive rat poison in his postgame press conference,

"“But you guys gave us a lot of really positive rat poison. The rat poison that you usually give us is usually fatal. The rat poison that you put out there this week was yummy.”"

Hopefully, the media doubts the Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff. You can never count Alabama out of any game with the greatest coach ever pacing the sidelines.

Here are the studs from the 2021 SEC Championship game.
