Alabama football may add another key transfer

With the Transfer Portal expanding, Alabama football has landed key transfers over the years. Landon Dickerson led the way, but Alabama also added two key starters to this year’s title-contending team. Henry To’o To’o and Jameson Williams transferred to Alabama this year, and they are two of Alabama’s most productive players.

That pipeline isn’t closing just yet. With dozens of highly-rated recruits in the Transfer Portal, Alabama seems destined to add a few more names this cycle. In fact, Alabama may add a five-star wide receiver from the 2020 class.

Kayshon Boutte was a 5-star recruit who decided to play for LSU. He signed after LSU’s elite season, but things have been downhill since. The quarterback position has been a revolving door, and LSU now has a new head coach. Boutte scored 14 touchdowns over two seasons, but he is now looking for a new team.

Boutte hasn’t committed to a team, but his social media presence suggests that he is considering Alabama football. In recent days, he has liked tweets about Bryce Young winning the Heisman Trophy. He also liked a tweet from Pete Golding of an elephant emoji. Golding sends these tweets when Alabama has a player ready to commit, so he may be hinting at Boutte’s arrival.

Alabama will likely lose both Williams and John Metchie this offseason to the NFL Draft. With Young returning, the offense has plenty of potential. While many young receivers have shown promise, adding the production of Boutte would boost Alabama in 2022.

This would be similar to when Alabama football added Williams to the roster. Boutte has the potential to be a WR1, but he would at least give Alabama some experience at a position where they are losing tons of talent.

dark. Next. Bryce Young repeat the Heisman?

We’ll see if Boutte, joins the Tide, but he is at least hinting at the possibility right now.
