The Early Signing Period finishes with a flourish for Alabama Football. The Crimson Tide’s 2022 class has some tidying up to do with a signed letter of intent expected to come in from Top 100, tight end Jaleel Skinner. Based on the 247Sports Composite, Skinner is the No. 3 rated tight end in the 2022 class. UPDATED – Skinner flipped to Miami Friday afternoon.

Later on Friday afternoon, another top player from the state of Louisiana, Kendrick Law is expected to sign with the Crimson Tide. Law is the No. 3 rated athlete, based on the Composite. UPDATED – Law announced for the Crimson Tide Friday afternoon. He will enroll early. The Alabama Crimson Tide already signed the No. 2 athlete, Isaiah Bond, the No. 4 rated athlete, Antonio Kite and the No. 7 rated athlete, Amari Niblack.

What this group of gifted athletes brings to Alabama Football, more than anything else is speed. Niblack is expected to play tight end. The others, especially Kendrick Law can play multiple positions. Bond is also a track guy, who won the state of Georgia’s 100-meter championship. He is expected to play wide receiver for the Crimson Tide.

Kite can play on either side of the ball at safety or wide receiver. He was also a high school basketball star, with offers to Division 1 schools.

Kendrick Law may be the most versatile player in the group. Law is another high school track guy. He could play safety or wide receiver for the Crimson Tide. Several Alabama football insiders believe Law will settle in at running back for the Crimson Tide. Law fits the new mold for Alabama football running backs, who can be utilized to also catch passes coming out of the backfield.

After LSU lost Shazz Preston to the Crimson Tide on Wednesday, no doubt Brian Kelly and every available Cajun in the state of Louisiana has been pressuring Law and his family. Losing both Preston and Law will be a major blow to Brian Kelly.

The anguish in and around Baton Rouge will turn into agony if, as many now expect, Kayshon Boutte enters the Transfer Portal and follows that by signing with the Crimson Tide. The former 5-Star, wide receiver is not in the Portal yet, but it could happen anytime. Perhaps, some level of added enticement keeps Boutte at LSU, but if he decides to transfer, a move to Tuscaloosa appears to be a near-lock.

Next. Is Boutte to the Tide almost a done deal?. dark

Adding Law, and former 5-Star, LSU cornerback, Eli Ricks, plus later adding Boutte and possibly Georgia Tech running back, Jahmyr Gibbs – forget about the Tide having the No. 2 class. Nick Saban will have made the No. 1 roster haul in the nation.
