Alabama Football: Looking at the Crimson Tide’s 2022 signing class

OL Tyler Booker

The Crimson Tide brought in multiple offensive linemen in the 2022 class with the highest-rated of the group being Tyler Booker, a four-star from IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Rated as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the country, Booker is also rated as the No. 51 overall player nationally, as well as the No. 9 player in the state of Florida.

The latest offensive tackle from the Ascenders to land in Tuscaloosa, Booker has experience lining up at both tackle positions, and is also a versatile lineman who could excel at guard as well. Booker is an early enrollee.

OL Elijah Pritchett

Right behind Booker as Alabama’s highest-rated offensive line signing in the 2022 class is four-star Elijah Pritchett from Carver High School in Columbus, GA. The No. 4 overall player in the state of Georgia, Pritchett is also rated as the No. 7 offensive tackle in the country, as well as the No. 54 player nationally.

One of the fastest rising offensive linemen in the country, Pritchett was a standout at left tackle for the 2021 Georgia Class 4A runner-up, and is also a player who is capable of playing multiple positions along the offensive line. Pritchett is not an early enrollee.

OT Dayne Shor

The final offensive line commit in Alabama’s 2022 class is three-star Dayne Shor from Denmark High School in Alpharetta, GA. Rated as the No. 31 offensive tackle in the country, Shor is also rated as the No. 36 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 384 player nationally.

After dealing with injuries in recent years, Shor is a player who is continuing to improve and is capable of seeing time at multiple different positions along the offensive line. Shor is an early enrollee.

DL Jaheim Oatis

The Crimson Tide also signed multiple defensive linemen in their 2022 class with the highest-rated being Jaheim Oatis, a four-star from Columbia High School in Columbia, MS. The No. 2 overall player in the state of Mississippi, Oatis is also rated as the No. 9 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 60 player nationally.

One of the top interior defensive linemen in the country at 6’4 370 lbs., Oatis collected 68 tackles, four sacks, and four forced fumbles as a junior in 2020, and backed that up with a phenomenal senior season. Oatis is an early enrollee.

DL Khurtiss Perry

Right behind Oatis is four-star Khurtiss Perry, a talented in-state pass rusher from Pike Road High School in Pike Road, AL. Rated as the No. 4 player in the state of Alabama, Perry is also rated as the No. 11 defensive lineman in the country, as well as the No. 74 player nationally.

As mentioned previously, Perry is a talented pass rusher who posted a phenomenal senior season after transferring from Park Crossing where he collected 23 sacks for Class 5A state champion Pike Road. A player who can lineup anywhere on the defensive line, it’s currently unknown when Perry will enroll at Alabama.

DL Isaiah Hastings

The final defensive line signing in Alabama’s 2022 class was four-star Isaiah Hastings from Clearwater Academy International in Clearwater, FL. The No. 29 player in the state of Florida, Hastings is also rated as the No. 264 player nationally, as well as the No. 33 defensive lineman in the country.

After moving from Canada for his senior season, Hastings enjoyed a strong 2021 season where he totaled 24 QB hurries and 6.5 sacks across his first seven games, and is a player who has a lot of positional versatility along the defensive line. Hastings is not an early enrollee.
