Alabama Football vs. Cincinnati Bold Prediction No. 1

Just as Auburn and Georgia did not have sustained success running on the Alabama Football defense, the Bearcats and Jerome Ford will not sustain a rushing attack in the Cotton Bowl. For the season, Jerome Ford is averaging 6.2 yards-per-carry. He will be held to under a four-yard average against the Crimson Tide. Desmond Ridder may scramble for a few good gains but the Tide defense will hold the Bearcats well below their season rushing average of 180 yards per game.

Bold Prediction No. 2

Desmond Ridder has a 2021 season completion average of 65.9 percent. Despite that solid average, he has had some inconsistent performances this season. His sometimes inaccuracy has led to eight interceptions. This prediction is, with Ridder throwing under frequent pressure, he will throw at least, two interceptions against the Crimson Tide.

Bold Prediction No. 3

Among FBS teams, Cincinnati is ranked at No. 26 with 1.54 sacks allowed per game. That stat is misleading because of the quality of defenses on the Bearcats’ schedule. The Cincinnati offensive line has not faced anything like Will Anderson Jr. and his defensive teammates. The prediction is a combined total of ten sacks and quarterback hurries for the Crimson Tide.
