Although the 2022 signing class could add up to 32 players,
Alabama Football
, like every other FBS program is restricted to 85 scholarship players. The deadline to reach the 85-player limit is late summer when fall camp begins.
At least until May, players will transfer out and in, subject to player decisions and roster needs.
Below is a current, unofficial 2022 Alabama Football roster. It will be updated with each future change. It designates players by their class assignments for the 2022 season. It does not include three seniors who could use their NCAA-allowed extra year to return. Those three players are LaBryan Ray, Major Tennison and Daniel Wright. Alabama football insiders do not expect any of them to opt for another Crimson Tide season.

The class designations reflect redshirts for all players who competed in four or fewer 2021 games. The current roster count is 88 scholarship players. Credits for game starts do not include special teams.

- Offensive Lineman; Emil Ekiyor Jr. – Ekiyor started 14 games in the 2021 season
- Tight End; Cameron Latu – Latu started 14 games in 2021
- Defensive Lineman; Stephon Wynn Jr. – Wynn had a backup role in 2021

- Offensive Lineman; Darrian Dalcourt – Dalcourt started 11 games at center in 2021
- Defensive Lineman; DJ Dale – Dale started 12 games
- Defensive Lineman; Justin Eboigbe – Eboigbe started three games and had a key backup role
- Safety; DeMarcco Hellams – Hellams started 12 games
- Cornerback; Khyree Jackson – Jackson started one game and was a primary special teams player
- Placekicker; Will Reichard – Reichard was the Tide’s kickoff, field goal and extra point specialist
- Linebacker; Henry To’o To’o – The Tide’s Mike linebacker started all 15 games
