Alabama Football reaped another 5-Star harvest with its 2022 signing class. What once was the end of recruiting, National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 2 no longer ends the new roster, rebuild cycle. With the impact of the Transfer Portal, recruiting no longer has a formal ending date.

So far the Crimson Tide has added 23 high school players to the 2022 class. One or more might be added by Signing Day. There has been some recent buzz about the Tide filling a roster need by adding 3-Star, tight end, Danny Lewis.

The chase for 5-Star recruits dominates attention every cycle. Though it is just one measurement of how successful a roster rebuild has been, the believed to be elite 5-Stars provide the most plums in top classes.

There are now four primary rating systems for high schools recruits. The new media platform, On3 has joined the old standards Rivals247Sports and ESPN. With the addition of On3 , there are now two composite player rankings to follow. The details below, on the Tide’s 2022, 5-Stars are from the individual rating groups rather than the composites.

The player ratings frequently provide a wide range of numerical player assessments. Who is to say, which group provides the most accurate assessment? That question is most often defined by the team allegiances of fans.

Most exciting for Crimson Tide fans is that eight different 2022 Alabama signees are rated as a 5-Star by one or more of the recruiting services.
