Eric Foggo

The Crimson Tide added three new faces to the 2022 infield picture during the offseason, all of which could see time this season. The lone transfer of that group is Foggo, an experienced graduate student who transferred to Alabama after four seasons at Stetson.

Appearing in 47 games last season at Stetson, Foggo saw time primarily defensively in right field, as well as the Hatters DH, slashing a combined .247/.344/.434 with a career-high eight home runs and 40 RBI’s.

As mentioned previously, Foggo comes to Tuscaloosa as an experienced player having appeared in a career 154 games, 136 of which he started. Holding a career .791 OPS during that span with a combined 23 home runs and 109 RBI’s, Foggo has spent a majority of his collegiate career defensively at first base, while also having seen a notable number of appearances in right field, third base, and left field.

While the Crimson Tide also have the previously mentioned Williamson at first base, Foggo will likely see some time at the position also, as well as at DH and right field.

2022 Season Prediction: .255 AVG, .350 OBP, .425 SLG, .775 OPS, 6 HR, 30 RBI, 1 SB
