Davis Heller

Another option who could see time at first base and DH this season is Heller, a junior who returns in 2022 after his first season in Tuscaloosa a year ago after transferring from South Mountain Community College (AZ).

Appearing in 15 games for the Crimson Tide last season, Heller went 6-for-27 offensively at the plate, while also drawing six walks during that span. Similar to Foggo previously, Heller should see time at both first base and DH during the 2022 season, as well as being one of the top offensive options available on the Crimson Tide’s bench.

2022 Season Prediction: .245 AVG, .365 OBP, .400 SLG, .765 OPS, 2 HR, 10 RBI, 1 SB

Bryce Eblin

After appearing in 16 games as a freshman a year ago, Eblin returns for year No. 2 with the Crimson Tide as arguably the favorite to replace Wilson in Alabama Baseball’s 2022 starting infield.

Eblin enjoyed a phenomenal 2021 season slashing a combined .342/.457/.474 with eight RBI’s offensively, and continued that success in near-double the sample-size last summer with the Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League posting a .784 OPS across 33 games with eight stolen bases. The sophomore could see time at either middle infield position in 2022, and could be set for a big breakout season.

2022 Season Prediction: .280 AVG, .425 OBP, .440 SLG, .865 OPS, 4 HR, 25 RBI, 10 SB
