Alabama Game Today: Alabama vs. Auburn Line, Prediction, Odds, TV Channel & Live Stream for Basketball Game Feb. 1

Alabama Basketball returns to the SEC road Tuesday night to take on the dreaded Auburn Tigers. The Crimson Tide is coming off an impressive win over the defending National Champion, Baylor Bears.

Auburn is 20-1 and 8-0 in SEC play. According to the traditional polls, Auburn is the No. 1 team in the nation. The Tigers are one of college basketball’s most solid teams. They are aggressive on offense and defense. Even (the many) Bruce Pearl detractors must admit he can recruit and his teams always play hard.

The Crimson Tide may be short-handed again. After hurting his knee against George, Darius Miles will likely sit out a second game. ‘Masked-man’ Juwan Gary was a physical force against Baylor. Both he and James Rojas are going to have to set a tone against the Tigers. The Tigers will essentially play four guards and 7’1″ Walker Kessler. Three of Pearl’s guards are 6′ or less, but the guard/forward hybrids; Jabari Smith (6’10”) and Allen Flanigan (6’6″) present matchup challenges for the Tide.

The Tide sits at 14-7 and 4-4 in SEC play. The latest NCAA NET rankings have the Tide at No. 22. The Auburn Tigers are ranked No. 6 in the NCAA NET rankings.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn: Spread, Over/Under

Alabama vs. Auburn Prediction

Ken Pomeroy rates the teams more highly than their NET ranking. KenPom has the Crimson Tide at No. 18 and Auburn at No. 6.

The Crimson Tide will have to match its intensity from the Baylor game. Doing that in Auburn Arena is a tall task. Playing as it did against Baylor, the Crimson Tide can beat any team. Alabama can beat Auburn, but every facet of the Tide’s game must be effective on both ends of the court. Multiple players in foul trouble might be too much for the Tide to overcome.

Game Prediction: Auburn Tigers 84 – Alabama Crimson Tide 79
