Alabama football players on top 50 NFL players sales list
By Dakota Cox
Alabama football players are marketing themselves in the NFL
Alabama football players are some of the best in the NFL, and that is translating to the NFL player sales list. This is a list of which NFL players are selling the most merchandise over the past league year. The revenue mostly comes through jersey sales, but other licensed merchandise also adds to the tally.
Because of this, it makes sense for rookies and players on new teams to be high on the list. After all, established players had fans buy their jerseys for years, but rookies just learned where they will be playing.
Here are the Alabama football players on the top 50 list of NFL players in merchandise sales.
5. Mac Jones, New England Patriots
Jones was the highest-grossing rookie this year, and it is easy to see why. He is tasked with being the future of the New England Patriots, and he won the starting job before the start of the season. Jones proved that he is capable of leading an NFL team, and that led fans to buy his jersey.
21. Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans
In his last healthy season, Henry ran for over 2000 yards. He is easily the face of the Tennessee Titans, and his jersey is one of the cleanest in the NFL. With so many Alabama football fans rooting for the Titans, it makes sense why Henry is this high on the list. If he has a healthy 2022-23 season, he will be back near the top.
22. Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers
Harris was the fourth rookie on the list. He was a force in the Pittsburgh offense, and his career remains bright. We’ll see if he can keep it up in his sophomore season.
25. Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders jerseys are always clean, and Jacobs is one of the best players in that offense. Unfortunately, he will likely see his sales go down after the team declined his option for the next season. This suggests that his time in Las Vegas is limited, but he will easily find a new home.
35. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Jalen changed his jersey number, and he was officially the starter for the entire season. Both of those things led to his jersey sales going up, and there is no doubt that Hurts is easy to root for.
36. DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Right behind Hurts is his teammate. Smitty went from winning the Heisman Trophy to catching passes in Philly, and he did a great job last season.
39. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
Tua won the starting quarterback job, and he could see jersey sales increase if he proves himself this year. The Dolphins are on the rise, and Tua is poised to take a massive step forward in a new offense.
47. Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys
Cooper saw a Cowboys bump in his jersey sales. Dallas players are likely to see jerseys sell through. Now that he plays for the Cleveland Browns, it will be interesting to see if his merchandise sales go up next year.
Expect to see players like Jameson Williams, Jaylen Waddle and possibly Julio Jones on this list next year.
