A former five-star recruit out of high school back in 2014, Scarbrough as mentioned previously spent three seasons at Alabama from 2015-17 before entering the 2018 NFL Draft at the conclusion of his junior season.

Across that span, Scarbrough would rush for a total of 1,512 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide, while also catching 21 passes for 131 yards. Scarbrough’s 2015 sophomore season is however what most Alabama Football fans may remember him by, one where he posted career-high’s in both yards (812) and touchdowns (11), combined with some memorable moments from the Crimson Tide’s CFP Semifinal game vs Washington and CFP National Championship game vs Clemson.

Selected in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft (No. 236 overall) by the Dallas Cowboys, Scarbrough has since spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and most-recently Las Vegas Raiders in 2021. Scarbrough however only saw action with the Lions in 2019 and Seahawks in 2020, rushing for a total of 408 yards and a touchdown on 95 carries.

Currently in their inaugural season where they play all games at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, AL, the USFL is entering the fifth week of the regular season this weekend, with the Birmingham Stallions as currently the lone undefeated team remaining at 4-0, sitting atop the South division. According to the USFL’s team website as well, Scarbrough will wear No. 25 with the Stallions, and is the first former Alabama player to play for Birmingham’s USFL team.

Scarbrough and the Stallions are set to play their next game on Sunday, May 15 at 12:00 PM ET against the Philadelphia Stars (2-2). The game will be available to watch on NBC.
