Florida Gators

  • This is almost as easy as predicting the Vandy results. Florida will not be undefeated in September. Utah should take care of that in week one unless Anthony Richardson is every bit as good as fans of the Gators believe him to be. Even if he is, the Gators will not beat Utah, Kentucky and Tennessee in the first month. Give them a win over USF and a win over one of the other three for a September prediction of 2-2. A 1-3 start would not be a shock and would be no reflection of what Billy Napier can build in Gainesville.

South Carolina Gamecocks

  • The ‘will not go undefeated early’ part is easy for the Gamecocks. While they will likely be improved and Spencer Rattler could be outstanding, in the season’s first month they will lose to Arkansas or Georgia or both. On either side of those games, South Carolina will beat Georgia State and Charlotte. The predicted September record is 2-2.

Missouri Tigers

  • The predictions get tougher at this point. The Tigers, if they don’t have a serious quarterback deficiency should be improved, with a small chance to win their first four games. Or they could lose two of them. The second scenario is the prediction, with wins over Louisana Tech and Abeline Christian and losses in the two road games, at Kansas State and Auburn. The predicted September record is 2-2.
