When Bama Hammer provides updates and predictions on Alabama football recruiting, readers may notice the lack of any ‘crystal balls.’

We leave such definite predictions to the sites that focus primarily on recruiting. Any label for a prediction from me would be better called a ‘cloudy orb’ instead of a crystal ball.

What we offer are informed opinions developed through close tracking of recruiting news and snippets of information from Alabama football insiders, all filtered through a sense of roster needs, while considering what recruits say and don’t say about their plans.

A few days ago, I offered a list of seven recruits and a prediction that no less than five would commit to the Crimson Tide.

This current post can be viewed as an update on some of those guys, plus the latest buzz on six more 2023 targets.

After recent camp sessions and official visits, I have formed new opinions on five more Top 100 players and one JUCO player.

  • Brandon Inniss; 5-Star No.2 WR and No. 18 player in the 2023 class. Prior to his recent official visit, I expected Inniss to eventually choose USC or Ohio State, with Alabama and Miami possibly making up ground. His comments about his time in Tuscaloosa have changed my opinion, to the Crimson Tide having as good a chance to land Inniss as any other program, and probably better than USC.
