The Alabama football defense is poised to be one of the nation’s best in 2022. Many of its position groups are fairly well solidified, and we have a good idea of which players will be contributing.
The secondary as a whole is pretty stable, although Coach Nick Saban has stated that some young players are beginning to fight for snaps at cornerback. With Will Anderson Jr. and Dallas Turner manning the edges and fellow former 5-star Chris Braswell rotating in, the outside linebacker position is also rock solid.
There are some question marks, however, in the interior of Alabama’s front seven. There are several position battles that need to play out, and there seems to be a common theme amongst them: youth vs experience.
