No. 7 – Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss

Dart could prove to be much better than No. 7. Dart’s six-game resume at USC is not an adequate test of his abilities. He passed for 1,353 yards in those six games but was no rushing threat. Lane Kiffin has not named a starter. Whether it is Dart or Luke Altmyer, the Ole Miss starter will benefit from Kiffin’s offense.

No. 6 – Max Johnson – Texas A&M

This is another, yet-to-be-named situation and Jimbo Fisher may go with Haynes King. Johnson’s experience gives him the edge to be the September starter, but both Johnson and King may rotate early. Last season at LSU, Johnson passed for 2,815 yards.

No. 5 – Logan Bonner – Utah State

Yes, in my opinion, Logan Bonner is better than some SEC quarterbacks. He has earned his inclusion on the Maxwell Award Watch List. Bonner passed for 3,328 yards last season and added 60 yards on the ground. He has passed for almost 6,800 yards in his college career, though not against top defenses.

No. 4 – Jayden Daniels – LSU

Until yesterday, was a possible LSU starter was Myles Brennan. Brennan reportedly is stepping away from football after learning he would not start. Daniels will battle Garrett Nussmeir for the starting job. Brian Kelly will surely go with the far more experienced Daniels.  As a freshman at Arizona State, Daniels passed for almost 3,000 yards. Last season he passed for 2,381 yards and rushed for 710 yards.
