Alabama Football class of 2021: Dallas Turner

The 2021 class, similar to 2020, is absolutely loaded with players who could be breakout stars this season for Alabama football. JC Latham, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Ja’Corey Brooks are among the true sophomores that could really elevate their games in 2022. The best player from the 2021 class, however, is edge rusher Dallas Turner. Turner’s meteoric rise as a true freshman has been repeatedly discussed, but opponents cannot focus their scouting report on Turner due to the presence of Will Anderson Jr. The duo should help each other mightily, and Turner could perform at an All-American level this year. The good news for Tide fans? Turner has two more seasons to play in an Alabama uniform.

Alabama Football class of 2022: Jihaad Campbell

Players such as Jeremiah Alexander and Ty Simpson may be supremely talented, but may not have ample opportunity to show it this season. Other popular choices would be fan-favorite Jaheim Oatis on the defensive line, or one of the many talented pass catchers Alabama brought in. At this point, however, one can only guess which of those receivers will make the biggest impact. I decided to go with the player who I think is most likely to eventually be a first round pick, linebacker Jihaad Campbell. While Alabama’s outside linebacker room is loaded, Campbell has the versatility to play inside or on the edge. I’m not sure where it will be, but I can see him working his way into the rotation and making an impact as a true freshman.

Next. Defensive back injuries not a concern. dark

The Crimson Tide and its loaded roster will open the season on September 3rd against Utah State in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
