Alabama football returns Saturday to compete for the school’s 19th national championship. A College Football Playoff championship game loss to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs stung.  What if Jameson Williams and John Metchie were healthy for the contest? Would the outcome be different?

Recently, CFB Analyst Desmond Howard said on ESPN’s First Take,

"“I’ve told people since that game, the best team didn’t win that game. The healthiest team won that game. When both teams were healthy, we saw what happened in the SEC Championship game, sir. I do not believe that the best team won the national championship. I didn’t have a dog in the fight. But … the healthiest team won the national championship.”"

The Crimson Tide will not rely on using an excuse. Simply, Alabama did not play up to their standard and therefore lost.

Alabama returns the two best juniors in college football, Heisman Trophy winner, Bryce Young, and Bronko Nagurski award winner, Will Anderson, Jr.

The media is predicting an Alabama return to the College Football Playoff to face common competitors in Ohio State, Georgia, and Clemson. Can head coach Nick Saban quarterback the Crimson Tide to their seventh national championship under his charge?
