Alabama Football Studs

Bryce Young

An early season collapse flashed quickly before Alabama fans’ eyes. Sark and company had the Crimson Tide on the ropes. In the fourth quarter, the Heisman winner resembled a thirteen-year NFL vet.

Young never pressed and remained calm leading Alabama to two scoring drives to close the door on a resilient Texas.

Saban summed up Young’s play during his post-game presser,

"“When his best was needed, he was really good. And that’s what we needed.”"

His magical 20-yard scramble in the final drive proved how invaluable he is to the Crimson Tide.

Run defense

Fox Sports commentator Joel Klatt consistently praised Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson as the best back in college football. He had an off night as the Crimson Tide shut down his running lanes. The Tide held him to 57 yards on 21 carries.
