Alabama Football: Crimson Tide well represented in NFL leaders through Week 3

As you’d likely expect, Alabama Football is well represented among the league leaders through the first three weeks of the 2022 NFL season. Taking a look at that group, who are some of the names that rank among the league leaders in statistical categories through the season’s first three weeks?

Alabama Football well represented in NFL leaders through Week 3

Tua Tagovailoa

Tagovailoa has helped lead the Miami Dolphins to an undefeated 3-0 start by completing 71.3% of his passes for 925 yards with an 8:2 TD:INT, headlined by six touchdown performance in week two against the Ravens in which he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Across the first three weeks of the year, Tagovailoa leads the NFL with an 82.8 QBR, while also ranking top five in passing yards, passing touchdowns, passer rating, completion percentage, and more.

Jalen Hurts

Hurts has also helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to an undefeated 3-0 start, completing 67.3% of his passes for 916 yards with a 4:1 TD:INT, while also having rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns on 37 attempts. Hurts currently ranks just behind Tagovailoa in passing yards at No. 3 in the NFL, as well as top five passer rating, QBR, and more.

Jaylen Waddle 

Waddle currently ranks second in the NFL in receiving, having compiled 342 yards and three touchdowns on 19 receptions. In his second year with the Miami Dolphins, Waddle also ranks top five in the NFL in receiving touchdowns and receiving yards per game.

Eddie Jackson

Jackson has collected a combined 21 tackles, one TFL, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and two PD’s across the Chicago Bears 2-1 start to the year. Jackson’s two interceptions also currently ranks second in the NFL, while the former Crimson Tide safety is also top five in forced fumbles.
