Alabama football added to its loaded 2023 recruiting class when it landed a commitment from wide receiver Jaren Hamilton. Hamilton is a 4-star product from the state of Florida that is ranked as the 34th best wide receiver in the nation.

Jaren Hamilton, who hails from F.W. Buchholz High School in Gainesville, is an athletic pass catcher with track speed and decent size at 6’1”. He is the latest commitment in a long lineage of Alabama wideouts from Florida. This list includes former Crimson Tide standouts Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, and Jerry Jeudy. It also includes current roster members Ja’Corey Brooks and Christian Leary from the class of 2021, as well as Thaiu Jones-Bell from the class of 2020.

Hamilton is the fourth member of an underrated 2023 wide receiver haul for Alabama football. He joins fellow 4-stars Jalen Hale, Malik Benson, and Cole Adams.

Jalen Hale is considered the seventh best receiver in the class, and Malik Benson is the no. 1 JUCO prospect in the country, regardless of position. Both could potentially contribute immediately for the Tide. Cole Adams is a lightning-quick slot receiver out of Oklahoma. While it is not out of the question for Jaren Hamilton to crack the rotation early, his long-term potential is what has Alabama excited.

This quartet joins a crowded Alabama wide receiver room that should return everybody barring possible transfers. Offseason competition should be fierce as multiple receivers have contributed for Bama this year, and yet no one has established a guaranteed starting spot.

Jaren Hamilton is the 24th member of the 2023 recruiting class for Alabama Football. This Bama class is the no. 1 class in the country by a wide margin, and Hamilton’s commitment just extends the lead.

As it stands, the gap between Alabama’s top-ranked class and Georgia’s second-ranked class is greater than the gap between Georgia’s class and Clemson’s ninth-ranked class.

Alabama continues to pursue several elite players, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, that could solidify this recruiting haul as historic.
