With every college basketball game day, Alabama Basketball comes closer to knocking down its first-ever 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Alabama is an NCAA Tournament lock and though it is not a 1-seed lock yet, the Crimson Tide’s chances of ending up as a 1-seed are currently at 99% based on the Team Rankings algorithm.
Alabama basketball fans, ravenous for Big Dance success, are focused on whether the Crimson Tide can finish as the NCAA Tournament overall No. 1 seed. The detail provided below currently projects the Crimson Tide at the top or near the top of the S-curve ranking of seeds.
It is possible, depending on what happens to other top teams that Alabama could lose another game and still be the overall top 1-seed on Selection Sunday. Even two losses in the last four games and SEC Tournament would not likely be enough to drop the Crimson Tide to a 2-seed.
