Alabama’s latest odds to win March Madness after advancing to Sweet 16
By Reed Wallach
Alabama is into the Sweet 16 for the second time in the last three years after outclassing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Maryland over the first weekend, setting up a Sweet 16 matchup with San Diego State.
The No. 1 overall seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament Crimson Tide are the second choice to win the National Championship, behind only Houston through the first week of the ‘Big Dance.’
While Brandon Miller has been playing what is being called a “sore groin,” the Crimson Tide were hardly challenged through the first two rounds and now have nearly a full week to prepare for next weekend’s regional semifinals and finals in Louisville, Kentucky.
Here are the updated odds for the 2023 National Championship:

Alabama odds to win South Region
The Crimson Tide have been the favorite to win the South Region since the bracket was revealed on Selection Sunday, but it has been going even better for the No. 1 seed given their biggest threat, No. 2 seed Arizona, lost in the first round to No. 15 seed Princeton.
Quickly, the biggest roadblocks to Alabama’s Final Four hopes were falling out, including No. 4 seed Virginia. After advancing to the Sweet 16, Alabama’s odds moved to -135 to win the South Region as they opened as seven-point favorites against San Diego State.
