  • Thinking about Charlie Weiss Jr. and Ole Miss, a question is how will the Rebels’ offense perform with three OCs. On paper, Ole Miss has two, Weiss and Co-OC, John David Baker. But on a Lane Kiffin-coached team, is anyone other than Lane ever really an OC? Rather than little-known, label this fact as an Ole Miss unknown.
  • Many Alabama and LSU fans know Rob Sale was an offensive lineman on Nick Saban’s 2002, LSU team. More than a few Alabama fans remember Sale spent four seasons in Tuscaloosa working in off-field capacities for Saban. Less known is what happened with Sale at Georgia. Sale was the OL coach at Georgia in 2015. Kirby Smart and Sale knew each other from their time in Tuscaloosa, but as the new Georgia coach, Kirby did not retain Sale.
  • Brian Keely’s success at Grand Valley State is well-known. Less known is LSU’s OC, Mike Denbrock was at Grand Valley State before Kelly. But his connection to Kelly has led Denbrock to be hired as an assistant to Kelly three times. Almost unknown about Denbroack is in between some of those college football jobs, he coached in the Arena Football League. For the Buffalo Destroyers, Denbrock was the assistant head coach, DC, and also the OL and DL coach.
