While Alabama football fans talk about where they think Bryce Young might go in the draft, it’s important to remember the Tide had some good undrafted FAs.

Trying to guess how many Alabama football players will be drafted has become a fun game around Tuscaloosa in recent years. With the amount of talent that the Crimson Tide have been blessed with recently, it feels like that, at the very least, the starting 22 should be getting selected.

In fact, Nick Saban has managed to bring in so much talent from year to year that there are usually a couple of players that don’t get drafted but are still able to craft themselves quite a career in the National Football League.

The talent level and dominance of the college football world have been so impressive in recent years it might surprise some Alabama football fans to learn that former Tide players doing well in the pros, even if they didn’t get drafted, isn’t an entirely new thing. In fact, some of the best players to ever fit that bill are from way back in the Crimson Tide days.

At least one player makes that list simply because the NFL Draft wasn’t really a thing when they entered the league. Whatever the reason why a player might not have been drafted but still had a ton of success in the NFL, one thing is clear; there is another route to success in the pros.

While waiting to see just where Bryce Young and some others might go, it might perk some people up to realize that even if their favorite Alabama football players don’t get selected in this year’s draft, there’s obviously a way to have success at the next level. At times, it’s safe to say that the undrafted Tide players have even had more success than those who were expected to be sure things.
