After starting slow in the spring, Alabama Football is continuing to make progress on the recruiting trail as the summer ramps up.

Under Coach Nick Saban, Bama has recruited at such an elite level that it can afford to be more selective than other teams. As a result, it has tended to start recruiting cycles pretty slow, and 2024 has not been an exception.

Though the Crimson Tide is ranked no. 16 nationally in the 2024 cycle, this number is deceptively low. Bama’s 7-man class consists of three 5-stars and four 4-stars, with a higher average ranking per recruit than any other team in the country. In short, this means that Saban and company are likely well on their way to finishing near the top of the recruiting rankings once again.

The most recent player to commit to Alabama Football in the class of 2024 was 4-star defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman. Beaman is a borderline top-100 player in the class, and is a phenomenal athlete for an interior defensive lineman.

Currently listed at 265 pounds, Beaman could be a project for the strength and conditioning staff when he arrives on campus. If he can add some quality weight and maintain his athleticism, he has higher upside at his position than his ranking would indicate.

Future remains bright for Alabama Football

Coach Saban appears to be deviating from his strategy in the 2025 cycle, as Bama is out to a very quick start recruiting the rising junior class. The Crimson Tide already have four commits in the class, led by 5-star in-state wide receiver Ryan Williams.

4-star running back Anthony Rogers became Alabama’s fourth commitment in the 2025 class on Friday afternoon. Rogers is a consensus top-10 back in the class and will bring elite speed to the Bama backfield. One of the fastest players in the country, he has been compared to former Texas A&M home-run hitter Devon Achane by 247Sports’ Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins.

Should Bama keep the commitments of Anthony Rogers and Ryan Williams in its 2025 class, it will be bringing in two of the most electric offensive skill players in the country.

Perhaps influencing Rogers’ decision, Alabama has recruited very well along the offensive line. The Tide brought in a loaded offensive line haul in 2023, led by 5-star tackle Kadyn Proctor. Additionally, Bama has already landed two offensive line commits in 2025 in 4-stars Mason Short and Dontrell Glover.

It’s still early, but the Nick Saban recruiting train shows no signs of slowing down for at least the next two cycles.
