On June 14, Alabama football fans will learn what the 2024 SEC schedule will be for the Crimson Tide. Schedules for the SEC’s 16, 2024 teams will be presented during a special broadcast on the SEC Network.

With most of college football slamming the SEC for sticking to an eight-game schedule, condemnations will not cease on June 14.

While there is no guarantee what the SEC will do about its 2025 schedule and beyond, a later move to nine games is expected.

The 2024 season will be different because of no more divisions. At the end of the regular season, the two teams with the best conference records will compete for the SEC Championship. Assuming tie-breakers remain the same as in divisional play, head-to-head matchups will carry the most weight.

What can Alabama football fans expect for the 2024 season? Brad Crawford of 247Sports offered a prediction for every SEC team. Crawford projects Alabama will play LSU, Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Auburn at home, with road games at Oklahoma, Tennessee, Georgia, and Arkansas.

It is difficult to understand why Crawford believes a much-deserved strengthening of Georgia’s schedule should come from hosting the Crimson Tide. Per Crawford, the Bulldogs also get Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt, with no games against LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma. Crawford admits that other than the Alabama game, Georgia’s projected schedule is “relatively tame.” He is half right.

Enough about Georgia’s schedule and every other SEC football team not named the Alabama Crimson Tide.
