1. Alabama Football will establish the ground game against USF

Bama fans calling for the ground game to finally look impressive are beginning to sound like the boy who cried wolf. I have made this prediction in some capacity prior to each of the first two games, and the rushing attack has proven to be underwhelming both times. Ironically, the longer the Bama ground game stays in the gutter, the longer it can be considered “bold” to predict otherwise.

Still, with so much talent in the backfield and an offensive line that just needs to find some continuity, I continue to believe that it is only a matter of time before the Alabama running game starts clicking.

Seniors Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams have carried the mail so far, but there is a widespread belief that there are more talented backs on the roster just waiting for an opportunity. On3’s Jimmy Stein thinks this could be a breakout game for true freshman Justice Haynes, who wowed fans (and Coach Saban) with his performance during spring ball.

By all accounts, Haynes is an incredible talent who is ready to contribute in year one. Perhaps he, or even sophomore running back Jam Miller, will give some punch to the Bama ground game this week.
