Updated polls came out early Sunday afternoon and Alabama Football was moved down again. After the Texas loss, Alabama went down to No. 10 in The AP Poll. The Alabama Crimson Tide is now ranked No. 13.

In the Coaches Poll, the Tide’s dip was two slots to No. 12.

Stating that Alabama football fans are uneasy is an understatement. Realistically, the poll results could have been worse after the Crimson Tide’s worst win in what feels like forever.

Alabama fans can enjoy the nosedive the Tennessee Vols took after losing to Florida in The Swamp. The Vols fell 11 spots in the Coaches Poll to No. 20. Even worse for Tennessee fans, the AP Poll dive was 12 spots, down to No. 23.

Poll Moves for Alabama Football Opponents

  • Ole Miss moved up three spots in the Coaches Poll to No. 16. In the AP Poll, the Rebels went up two spots to No. 15.
  • Mississippi State was not ranked in either poll.
  • Texas A&M was No. 35, in the ‘Others Receiving Votes’ (ORV) in the Coaches Poll. The Aggies did not make the ‘others’ distinction in the AP Poll and are unranked.
  • Arkansas just snuck into the ORV of the Coaches Poll at No. 47
  • Tennessee (see above)
  • LSU went up one spot in the Coaches Poll to No. 13. The Bengal Tigers moved up two spots in the AP Poll to No. 12.
  • Kentucky was ranked No. 30 in the Coaches Poll. The Wildcats were ranked No. 33 in the AP Poll.
  • Auburn was ranked No. 34 in the Coaches Poll. In the AP Poll, at No. 39, the Tigers were the last team listed in the ORV category.

Other teams of interest to Crimson Tide fans

  • Georgia, despite a lackluster 24-14 win over South Carolina remained at No. 1 in both polls.
  • The Texas Longhorns with a 31-10 over Wyoming (including a dismal first half for Texas) stayed at No. 6 in the Coaches Poll and moved up one spot to No. 3 in the AP Poll.
  • After the Florida win over Tennessee, the Gators made No. 25 in the AP Poll and were No. 29 in the Coaches Poll.

This post will be updated later today when Jeff Sagarin’s latest algorithm results are released.

The ESPN FPI is still bullish on the Crimson Tide at No. 4.
