There is a good reason for Alabama football fans to not much care about any week four games except the one in Tuscaloosa. In less than a three-week interval, the Alabama Crimson Tide has gone from a National Championship contender to a team not currently in the Playoff picture.

A win on Saturday and Alabama Football will be back on track. A loss? Perish the thought.

Week four of college football has interesting games and at least one is almost as key to another program as the Ole Miss game is to the Alabama program.

Alabama Football and Other Week Four Games

No offense to the programs involved, but the Thursday and Friday games don’t offer much, so let’s move to …

Week 4 Saturday Morning

  • Florida State at Clemson – It’s a big game for both teams. Clemson, like Alabama, cannot afford another loss. A quick take is the Clemson rushing attack gives the Tigers the best chance to get the win.
  • Kentucky at Vanderbilt – The Wildcats should take care of business in Nashville. Neither team has been noteworthy on offense, but Vandy’s defense has been especially bad.
  • Auburn at Texas A&M – The Auburn Tigers might be college football’s worst 3-0 team. But an Auburn upset in College Station would kick the funding of Jimbo Fisher’s buyout into high gear.

Alabama Crimson Tide fans should find the Auburn vs. A&M game enjoyable, whatever the outcome.
