Alabama Football Defensive Line: A

The Alabama defensive line took the field with something to prove, and dominated the line of scrimmage all game. One of the most glaring statistics in this matchup was Ole Miss’ 56 yards rushing on 29 attempts (1.9 YPC). The Rebels have a powerful rushing attack that was the best in the country among Power Five teams in 2022.

All-American running back Quinshon Judkins contributed just 66 yards from scrimmage on 14 touches, and was a non-factor for most of the game.

Senior defensive lineman Tim Smith (3 tackles, 1.5 sacks) and redshirt sophomore nose guard Tim Keenan III (3 tackles, 3 QB pressures) were both highly disruptive throughout the contest. Justin Eboigbe, Damon Payne Jr., and Jaheim Oatis were all impactful as well.

Perhaps the biggest contribution of this defensive line was occupying blockers and keeping Alabama’s dynamic collective of linebackers clean and free to roam all over the field.
