3. Alabama Football: Justice Haynes finds the end zone

True freshman running back Justice Haynes received a lot of offseason buzz, and Coach Saban continues to insist that he will play a role in the Alabama offense. That hasn’t been the case so far, as the talented back hasn’t gotten a carry since week one against Middle Tennessee State.

As far as anyone can tell, Justice Haynes is RB4 at the current moment. Seniors Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams have gotten the lion’s share of the snaps, with sophomore Jam Miller spelling the pair at times.

Miller is suspended for the first half of this week’s game after being ejected for targeting against Ole Miss, which could lead to a Justice Haynes sighting.

Granted, this suspension could have zero impact on the rotation. We might not see RB3 until the second half anyway. If Miller takes his normal place in the pecking order after halftime, this prediction might be null and void.

Still, the fact that Miller is serving a suspension opens up a small window of opportunity for the true freshman, and I’m a firm believer that his talent will shine through if he gets on the field.
