According to the current Coaches Poll, Alabama Football is the SEC’s second-best team. The Georgia Bulldogs, after surviving against a bad Auburn team, held on to No. 1 in the poll. The No. 2 and No. 3 positions were also unchanged in the Oct. 1 rankings as Michigan and Ohio State followed Georgia.

The Texas Longhorns moved up one slot to No. 4, switching places with an idle FSU team.

Alabama Football is No. 10 in the latest Coaches Poll, moving up one spot. The nine teams above the Alabama Crimson Tide are all undefeated.

The SEC again has seven teams in the latest Coaches Top 25. LSU took an embarrassing dive of 11 slots, dropping to No. 23. After losing to Kentucky, Florida dropped out of the Top 25 and was last in the ‘Others Receiving Votes’ list of teams. Eight SEC teams are in the top 28 ranked teams in the Coaches Poll. No. 28 is the Texas A&M Aggies.

Alabama Football was also ranked higher than eight undefeated Top 25 teams. Those teams are Oklahoma, North Carolina, Washington State, Miami, Kentucky, Missouri, Fresno State and Louisville.

It is not worth getting churned up over, but Michigan at No. 2 is laughable, considering the Wolverines have yet to play a real football team this season.
