No school in college football history has had more success in bowl season than the Alabama Crimson Tide. Between Bear Bryant, Nick Saban, Wallace Wade, and Gene Stallings, Alabama football has won 15 national championships (and claims 18), but even in years when the Crimson Tide fall short, they never seem to fall off.

Alabama’s first bowl game appearance came in the 1926 Rose Bowl and its most recent one came in the 2023 Sugar Bowl. The program leads the country in bowl appearances and bowl game wins all-time with 44 wins in 76 appearances.

Of those 76 appearances, 42 have been in the four major bowls, Rose, Cotton, Orange, and Sugar, and another nine have been in BCS or CFP national championship games. The Crimson Tide’s longest streak of consecutive years with a bowl appearance is 25 from 1959-1983, but they also have an active streak of 19 straight seasons.

Now, let’s dig into Alabama’s complete bowl history with every single bowl appearance starting in 1926.
