2010: Alabama 37 Texas 21

Alabama went 14-0 in Nick Saban’s third year as head coach of the Crimson Tide to claim his first title at Alabama. Alabama scored 24 points in the second quarter and won despite Greg McElroy going 6/11 for 58 yards passing. Alabama ran for 205 yards and benefited from four interceptions by Texas quarterback Garrett Gilbert.

2012: Alabama 21 LSU 0

Alabama’s defense was the story as the Crimson Tide dominated LSU to finish the year at 12-1 and as the national champions. LSU didn’t move the ball past midfield until there were eight minutes remaining in the game. The Tigers gained just 92 total yards and five total first downs.

2013: Alabama 42 Notre Dame 14

Alabama dominated the Fighting Irish to claim the third championship of the Nick Saban era. AJ McCarron threw for four touchdowns, two to Amari Cooper and Eddie Lacy ran for 120 yards and a touchdown. Despite being the No. 2 team in the country, Alabama was favored by 9.5 points.
