With the Alabama Football team on the Bye Week ahead of their matchup against LSU, it would be easy to take a week off from watching games however, there are a few matchups with big implications for the Alabama Football team. As the initial College Football Playoff rankings get unveiled on Tuesday, we’ll get a measurement of how far or close the Alabama Football team is to a playoff spot. The Crimson Tide is currently ranked ninth but, likely controls their own destiny as they could win out and find themselves in the playoff. However, it’s nice to get as close as possible before the final rankings this way the Crimson Tide doesn’t have to jump multiple teams on Selection Sunday.

Alabama Football: Rooting for many teams to lose before conference championship weekend.

When the Alabama Football team lost early in the season it gave them an uphill climb to make it back into playoff contention. A win over LSU next weekend would be another massive step forward for the Crimson Tide. Even with that said Alabama still needs help to ensure they make it back into the playoffs after their absence last season. Of the teams ranked ahead of the Crimson Tide only one matchup will occur between Michigan and Ohio State meaning the Crimson Tide will need help from some outsiders. The next matchups for the teams ranked ahead of the Crimson Tide the only potential matchups would come on conference championship weekend. There are a few matchups this weekend that could provide a boost for the Crimson Tide as they push for the playoffs.
