After yesterday’s college football games, the voters at the AP ranked the Alabama Football team 8th in the country. The Alabama Football team was the benefactor of Oklahoma losing to Kansas as the loss caused the Sooners to slide all the way to 10.  This weekend will be Alabama Football’s biggest test as the Crimson Tide takes on 13th-ranked LSU. The most important rankings will be revealed this week as the Initial College Football Playoff Rankings will be unveiled on Tuesday. For the Crimson Tide everything is in front of them, they continue to near striking distance as the end of the season approaches. Should Alabama win this weekend they’ll certainly climb another spot or two potentially jumping Oregon or Texas. A few of the teams ranked ahead of the Alabama Football team have tough matchups this weekend as well as Texas faces 25th Ranked Kansas State, Georgia faces 14th-ranked Missouri, Washington faces 24th-ranked USC, and Ohio State travels to Rutgers who is unranked but has been a tough out for many this season.

Alabama Football: Win the games in front of you and continue to climb.

The main focus for Alabama has to be continuing to win the game on the schedule that week. We’ve seen teams the past few weeks get tripped up against inferior opponents with this week’s victim being Oklahoma. Many of the country’s top teams are going to face tough tests in the weeks to come. We should see a few more of the teams ranked ahead of the Crimson Tide fall as the tests get tougher. If Alabama Football wins at home against LSU it will all but secure itself a ticket to the SEC Championship Game. We will have our first real idea of how the voters think the team stacks up on Tuesday night when the College Football Playoff Rankings debut.
