Alabama Football: A full rundown on today’s Chattanooga game
By Ronald Evans
The last Alabama Football home game of the season is upon us. It is not a game many Crimson Tide fans are excited to watch. A lesser foe will be dispensed with either in continuation of Alabama’s recent momentum or, as has been the case in some past games with FCS opponents, the Crimson Tide will win easily despite not being on top of its game.
There is one plus for Alabama in the game. Chattanooga runs a pass-heavy, spread offense, utilizing tempo. They have a good quarterback and some good receivers. But in such a mismatch, tempo is unlikely to favor the Mocs. Facing tempo or not, backups from the Alabama secondary can use the game as a measure of their coverage skills.
Jalen Milroe is expected to be near 100% for the game. Deontae Lawson and Jalen Key are not expected to play. Resting the pair will hopefully lead to full recoveries for the Auburn game.
Alabama Football: Watching the game
Some Crimson Tide fans are disappointed the game can only be seen on a streaming channel. Hulu and YouTube will have it, along with fuboTV, in addition to other streaming sources.
Few Alabama football fans will recognize the SEC Network broadcast crew; Play-By-Play: John Schriffen, Analyst: Rocky Boiman, Sideline: Dawn Davenport. The Crimson Tide Sports Network, with Eli Gold, Tyler Watts, and Christian Miller will provide the radio broadcast, available on SiriusXM, channel 106 or 191.
The kickoff will happen shortly after 11:00 AM, For those going to Bryant-Denny, gates will open at 9:00, at the same time as the Walk of Champions.
Alabama vs. Chattanooga Game Prediction
According to FanDuel, the Crimson Tide is favored by 44.5 points. Alabama should have no problem covering the spread, but the final score will be the last thing on Nick Saban’s mind. Saban wants the Crimson Tide’s momentum to be sustained against the Mocs. He also wants to give second and third-unit players ample snaps. The game can be a good development opportunity for many young and less experienced Alabama players.
Even though the Crimson Tide will not be seeking style points, the game could be a blowout. My guess is Alabama Crimson Tide 55 – Chattanooga Mocs 10.

The game will be the 14th time the two programs have played. The Mocs have never beaten the Crimson Tide and Nick Saban will get career win No. 295 on Saturday.
