The Alabama Football team defeated the Chattanooga Mocs 66-10 on Saturday in dominating fashion. The wire-to-wire win was as to be expected as the Alabama Football team was 45-point favorites in the matchup. The matchup was crucial for the Crimson Tide however as the game provided the Alabama Football team time to heal up before matchups with Auburn and Georgia while also allowing younger players to gain valuable experience.

This was the best possible outcome for the Alabama Football team as they left the game healthy and with a victory. The same couldn’t be said for teams in similar spots like Auburn who lost a game at home to the New Mexico State Aggies. Florida State played the 3-8 North Alabama Lions and lost their star quarterback Jordan Travis to what appeared to be a horrific injury. In a game with little to nothing to be gained for key starters a 66-10 victory is all you can ask for with everyone staying healthy.

Alabama Football: Plenty to take away from this game despite the stakes

Despite this game having extremely low stakes there’s plenty to take away with how this team performed. The starters did what was needed, handing this game wrapped up to the backups and depth players with such a massive lead they couldn’t mess it up. After the starters left the game we were able to see who will be a piece for the future and who we may expect to hit the transfer portal through poor play or through lack of playing time.

The starters faired very well continuing to build on their momentum in a spot where they could’ve easily fallen flat. The back-ups showed promise with a few potentially earning roles for these next three games at minimum. Following the Alabama Football win let’s look at a few of the team’s biggest takeaways.
