The Washington Huskies will have to beat their in-state rivals to finish their season undefeated. The only problem is, Washington State might have found something last weekend. After Six straight losses, the Cougars got off the mat and demolished the Colorado Buffaloes. With a quarterback as talented as Washington State’s Cam Ward, the Cougars have a chance to win every week. The Apple Cup could be a look-ahead spot for the Huskies as they eye a potential rematch against the Oregon Ducks.

The Huskies found themselves in a similar spot last weekend as they edged out the Oregon State Beavers on the road. Following their victory over the Beavers, the Huskies jumped into playoff position as the playoff committee ranked them fourth.

The key for the Cougars will be to start fast on offense and make this game a track meet. The Cougars defensively have struggled all season with their wins coming in games where they scored 30 or more points. The Huskies have been battle-tested winning close games against Oregon, USC, Arizona, Utah, and Oregon State.

For the Alabama Football team, a Huskies loss would guarantee the Pac-12 champion has at least one loss. The Huskies taking their first loss would likely drop them out of the top six with Oregon potentially jumping them before the Pac-12 championship.
