The greatest rivalry in college sports will add another chapter today when Alabama Football and Auburn take the field in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Bama has a lot of advantages on paper, but will likely get Auburn’s best shot. The Tigers don’t have much to play for this season outside of in-state bragging rights and ruining the season of their fiercest rival.

The last bold predictions segment was two weeks ago, prior to Alabama taking on the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington. Those predictions did very well as Alabama Football rolled to a 49-21 victory on the road.

I predicted that Bama would hold Kentucky running back Ray Davis to his season low rushing total, and it did so easily. Davis gained just 26 yards on 2.2 yards per carry against the Crimson Tide. He gained just 17 yards against Alabama in 2022, also a season low.

My next prediction was that Jalen Milroe would throw for 250 passing yards, a mark he has hit only twice all season and just once in SEC play. Milroe failed to eclipse 250, but he did throw for 234 yards before allowing Ty Simpson to take over in the lopsided affair.

My final bold prediction was that Alabama Football would play well in the first half. Bama has been notorious for slow starts throughout this season, but it played its best first half to date against the Wildcats. The Tide owned a 21-0 lead less than 10 minutes into the game and led 28-7 at halftime.

Now, let’s take a look at the Iron Bowl edition of three bold predictions.
