Alabama Football: 2024 Schedule taking shape
Georgia Bulldogs – September 28th – Home
In a game that may become a yearly tradition in Atlanta, this game will be a preview for a potential rematch in Atlanta in 2024. Much like playing Texas early in the season this game can provide a team with a massive win for its playoff resume or can sink a team leaving them with a massive hole to dig themselves out of.
Both teams will look much different next season with massive amounts of talent expected to depart for the NFL. The Alabama team will likely lose JC Latham, Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, Kool-Aid Mckinstry, Terrion Arnold, and many others to the draft or transfer portal. The Bulldogs will lose Brock Bowers, Amarius Mims, Kamari Lassiter, Javon Bullard, Sedrick Van Pran, Nazir Stackhouse, and Ladd McConkey among others.
The two teams will provide great entertainment as they are teams built to beat each other. Kirby Smart and Nick Saban build teams with little to no weaknesses. The winner of this game will vault themselves to national title favorites and will likely control their path to the number one seed. The expanded playoff will be a relief for the loser, as a team like this season’s Alabama team is currently scratching and clawing to get back to contender status.
