Alabama Football has put together an incredible season, showing dramatic improvement since what was arguably the worst September in the Nick Saban era.

The Crimson Tide evolved from a team with no identity to one of the best teams in the sport, wrapping up the regular season with an 11-1 record after one of the most wild finishes in Iron Bowl history.

All the ups and downs of this roller coaster of a season have culminated in an SEC Championship showdown in Atlanta against the top-ranked and undefeated Georgia Bulldogs.

In last week’s Iron Bowl win, Bama Hammer’s bold predictions didn’t really pan out. First, I predicted that Alabama Football would limit Auburn’s rushing attack to below 150 yards. One of the major themes in the game was the Tigers’ ability to establish the run, as Auburn racked up 244 yards on the ground.

My second prediction was that the Tide would generate at least two turnovers. Bama ultimately forced three turnovers on paper, but two of those came on Terrion Arnold interceptions on desperation throws to end each half.

Still, the Crimson Tide’s remaining turnover may have decided the game. A muffed punt recovered by Jihaad Campbell set up the Alabama offense in Auburn territory, and eventually led to the incredible 4th & 31 touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe to Isaiah Bond.

My third and final prediction was that Bama would eclipse 40 points against Auburn. The Crimson Tide had scored more than 40 offensive points in two straight SEC contests after failing to do so in its first five SEC games. In the end, the Alabama offense didn’t have its best game, scoring just 27 points.

With the rivalry week bold predictions recapped, here are my three bold predictions for the SEC Championship game.
