Who did Lee Corso pick to win 2023 SEC Championship game?
By Josh Yourish
The ESPN College Gameday crew was in Atlanta for the 2023 SEC Championship game between the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide. An SEC title might not be the only thing on the line, a spot in the College Football Playoff is at stake too.
Georgia won the SEC Championship in 2022 over LSU and in 2021, Alabama beat the Bulldogs. These two teams have met in three of the last six SEC title games. Alabama’s only loss of the year came in Week 2 to Texas, but the Crimson Tide nearly cost themselves a chance in the CFP in the Iron Bowl last week.
Bama escaped against Auburn, so the anticipation couldn’t be higher for this game. The crowd at College Gameday showed noticeable enthusiasm, particularly when Pat McAfee evoked the Georgia Redcoat Marching Band, reciting his version of the famous “What’s that coming down the track” chant.
However, McAfee, a part-time WWE wrestler, turned heel and picked Alabama to spurn the Bulldogs fans in attendance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. So, who did the rest of the crew pick, specifically the legend, Lee Corso with his headgear selection?
The guest picker with the crew was comedian Theo Von, who didn’t provide much analysis but did add a lot humor to the picks.
