Friday Alabama Football landed another top 50 player in the 2025 recruiting class in Edge Rusher Javion Hilson. The Alabama Football team has gotten off to a great start in the 2025 recruiting class with the addition of Javion Hilson giving the Crimson Tide their ninth commitment. The 2025 class now has the top wide receiver in Ryan Williams, the top running back in Anthony Rogers, the third-ranked edge rusher in Zion Grady, the fourth-ranked edge rusher in Hilson, and the fifth-ranked wide receiver in Jamie Ffrench.

Hilson is a 6’4 225-pound edge rusher out of Cocoa, Florida who’s ranked 47th overall in the 2025 class and the fourth-ranked edge rusher in the class. Hilson will look to form a dominant edge rusher with fellow 2025 commitment Zion Grady.

The next few weeks will be a recruiting grind for Nick Saban and the Alabama Football team as early signing day approaches for the 2024 recruiting class. Nick Saban has spent this week traveling the country making in-house and school visits to many of Alabama’s 2024 commitments and some players the staff is attempting to flip.

Alabama Football: Fast start for 2025 could be key.

The biggest factor in many players’ decisions is who they will be playing with when they decide on their school. A start as fast as Alabama Football has had can be massive in landing a talent-heavy class. Top players like Ryan Williams and Anthony Rogers can now attempt to convince some of the nation’s other best players to take their talents to Tuscaloosa. Having many committed players a year in advance serves as an extra tool in recruiting when players enter no-contact periods when players who are committed can continue to recruit players to the Alabama Football team. For now, the focus recruiting-wise will be on the 2024 class eleven days before early signing day and whether 2025 commit Ryan Williams will be reclassifying.
