For those of you waiting for Kalen DeBoer to make a gigantic splash out on the recruiting trail, you're going to love the latest news. For a while now, the Alabama football team has been pushing hard to land the No. 1 ranked cornerback in the country.
Last weekend, 5-star playmaker Jorden Edmonds took an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa and things could not have gone much better for him. Shortly after that trip, several recruiting analysts locked in their official predictions for Edmonds to pick the Tide. Well, that just happened, as Edmonds announced on social media that he has committed to Alabama.

A Marietta, Ga., product, Edmonds picked up an eye-opening 43 offers this cycle. Prior to his announcement on Wednesday, he had locked in three official visits to Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Those three programs were the assumed favorites for the 6-2, 175-pounder.
Georgia fans have got to feel pretty frustrated, as the No. 2 player from Georgia per 247Sports is out the door to an out-of-state rival. Things are of course made worse for them with Edmonds picking Alabama. Hey, that's nothing for DeBoer to worry about.
Nope, the second-year Alabama leader has to be feeling pretty dang fired up over Edmonds' decision. The elite prospect becomes the fourth known pledge for Bama's 2026 class. He joins athlete Zyan Gibson, EDGE Jamarion Matthews and defensive lineman Chris Booker.
With spring camp still rockin' for the Tide, even more touted prospects high on DeBoer's board will be on campus soon for unofficials. With that said, getting Edmonds on board in late March the way DeBoer has done is surely going to give him plenty of momentum moving forward. Again, this is a huge get for the Tide and one that the entire Alabama stuff has to be thrilled about.
